NEWS CHANNEL 8 MIDDAY REPORT
NEWSCHANNEL 8 is Washington DC's 24 hour local news source, broadcasting to nearly 1.1 million cable television homes in suburban Maryland, Northern Virginia, and the District of Columbia. Morning and Midday reporter Anchor Dave Lucas interviewed US Dream Properties sponsor Claudia Johnsen regarding the largest essay contest to date. At age 79, Ms. Johnsen has decided to offer nearly four million dollars in both real estate and jewelry to five lucky winners: five contests, one winner per contest. The contest's premise is simple: in 75 words or less, write why you feel that you should win one of the properties. Three Virginia-based lawyers will serve as the judges. They are looking for the spirit of the essay, and they are not concerned with grammatical perfection. A contestant may enter the same contest more than once. There is no limit to how many times a contestant may enter. A contestant may enter all five contests if he/she wishes. Each entry costs $100.00. All essays must be written in English. We have broken Ms. Johnsen's News Channel 8 interview down to 10different MPEG file segments. To watch the interview, click on any of the eight parts and wait a few minutes for the movie to download.
